Freight wagons
generally have neither their own power supply nor an electrical connection to the traction unit. Thus no conventional wheel slide protection from passenger transport can be used.
This causes wheel flats and damage to wheelsets which act back on bearing and track with every rotation. Particularly on modern freight cars with disc brakes.

wheel slide protection system solves this task, both as a retrofit and for new vehicles.
Axle generator and battery
ensure the power supply whilst moving and when stationary. The wheel slide protection electronics measure the speeds of up to eight wheelsets, detect wheel slide conditions and adjust the brake cylinder pressure on an axle- or bogie-selective basis via the dump valves.
An optional mobile communications unit transmits operational and diagnostic information. The status and fault messages of every single car thus become available in near real time.
