Single Channel Speed Sensor

The speed sensors consist of a single channel electronic and an LED which visualizes the speed sensor functionality. The speed signal output has rectangular form and is proportional to rotation speed and linear velocity.

Single channel sensor with voltage output

This is a sensor with one rotation speed output.
The supply voltage is between 8V and 15V.
The amplitude of the output signal is identical to the supply voltage less 1.5V in case of high level und <=1V in case of low level.

Single channel sensor with voltage output and direction signal

This is a speed sensor with a rotation speed output which contains and additional, extended evaluation circuit which enables the detection of the rotational direction and the transmission of this information in digital form via an additional output.

The direction signal shows the direction of the phonic wheel passing the sensor head and has the same amplitude as the speed signal output.
The supply voltage is between 8V and 15V.
The amplitude of the output signal is identical to the supply voltage less 1.5V in case of high level and <=1V in case of low level.

Single channel sensor with voltage output and middle voltage

This is a speed sensor with a rotation speed output.
If the phonic wheel mounted opposite the sensor stops (f < 4Hz), the output signal does not remain on the last voltage level, but returns to the medium supply voltage after a short time.
Some controls use this behaviour for diagnostic purposes.
The supply voltage is between 10V and 28V.
The amplitude of the output signal is identical to the supply voltage less 2.0V in case of high level and <=2V in case of low level.

Single channel sensor with current output

This is a sensor with a rotation speed signal output.

The speed sensor with a current loop interface supplies 14mA for high level and 7mA for low level.
The low level of 7mA can be monitored to check the speed sensor at standstill as well as its connection to the peripheral devices.

The supply voltage is between 12V and 16V.
