Our history
For over 25 years, KES has been combining innovation and safety with its products for ever safer rail traffic. Since the company was founded in 1996 as SAB WABCO KP GmbH, it has developed from a manufacturer of wheel slide protection systems to a provider of complete braking systems for rail vehicles. With its headquarters in the Hannover region and locations and partners in Europe and Asia, KES supplies a global customer base.

Foundation
The company was founded in 1996 as a joint venture between SAB WABCO, Mr. Mahmud Keschwari and Mr. Herbert Post as SAB WABCO KP GmbH. KES Keschwari Electronic Systems GmbH & Co KG, founded in 2003, continued the business after the end of the joint venture in 2007.
Development
Initially, the company was known as a specialist for wheel slide protection systems. Since 2007 in particular, the company has developed into a system house that can develop and produce complete braking systems for rail vehicles.
Today
With the new company headquarters and the development of new, innovative products, the company is consistently pursuing its chosen path of being able to offer market-driven solutions for more and more customers.
Company history
The company was founded in January 1996 in Barsinghausen, Germany by the managing director Mr Mahmud Keschwari Rasti together with SAB WABCO. Just one year after its foundation, the wheel slide protection system AS 20R developed by the company was approved by the UIC in 1997. The company made a name for itself in the rail vehicle industry through its development and production of innovative electronic systems, such as the AS 20 family of wheel slide protection systems, in conjunction with the associated system components, pneumatic valves and sensors. In March 2007, KES GmbH & Co. KG took over the shares of the former SAB WABCO from its partner Faiveley Transport. The hybrid brake control EDS 300 was developed through constant product innovation in the company and the electronic and pneumatic control valve was approved by the UIC in 2014. The continued international success of the company led to the founding of KES IBERICA as a subsidiary in Madrid, Spain, in 2019. In 2023, the company moved into its new, larger premises in Barsinghausen. Today, the company is able to offer complete brake control systems for rail vehicles. To date, several thousand systems from the product range have been installed in rail vehicles, where they are reliably performing their service.

Starting with the production of individual components and systems, KES now also covers the development and implementation of complete braking systems. To date, several thousand systems from the KES product range have been installed in rail vehicles, where they continue to perform their tasks reliably. Our sustainable approach to progress will continue to provide new impulses to the market in the future.
Company task
KES has many years of experience in the development and production of components and control systems for rail vehicles. Our strength lies in the development and production of market-driven systems and products and their adaptation to customer-specific applications. We place particular emphasis on the satisfaction of our customers. We achieve this through our innovative products and their high quality standards, the competence and creativity of the company and the flexibility with which we respond to our customers' requirements.
